La biennale manifestazione ungherese diventa ogni volta più importante, fino a poter essere considerata una vera attrazione europea. L’edizione 2010 è incentrata sul 70° anniversario dell’Aeronautica ungherese e sull’ultima esibizione pubblica dei Mig 29 ungheresi, ormai in via di radiazione dopo l’entrata in servizio dei Gripen basati proprio sulla stessa base e, limitati nelle manovre dopo il grave incidente del 2009, quando sempre a Kesckemét un esemplare del bireattore russo perse un piano di coda.
Sicuramente l’addio ai Mig 29 ungheresi affiancato dagli esemplari slovacchi non è ancora a rischio estinzione, dei Mig 21 rumeni hanno fatto da calamita per un pubblico consistente, valutato in 150.000 persone il sabato e quasi il doppio la domenica. L’accesso avviene dietro pagamento di un biglietto di circa 15 Euro al giorno, almeno in questa parte di Europa non è un deterrente per gli appassionati, e per i numerosissimi spotters esteri presenti anche grazie alla data corrispondente al periodo delle ferie degli europei.
I MIG non erano l’unico punto di interesse; l’aeronautica israeliana ha portato in una delle poche esibizioni estere un C 130H ed un F 16D, esposti solo in mostra statica al pari del Sukhoi SU 27 ucraino. Kecskemét è location ideale per veder volare i Gripen accompagnati dagli analoghi esemplari cechi e svedesi. Vedette francese è stato un Rafale egregiamente pilotato, vincitore del concorso per la miglior display performance.
Eurofighter 2000 erano presentati da Germania e Austria, il primo solo in statica, il secondo autore di passaggi poco eccitanti nel corso di una missione da Zeltweg.
Gli spagnoli esibivano in volo un Mirage F 1EE e un F/A 18A, i serbi il loro Super Galeb; dall’Olanda è arrivato il tradizionale F 16A del Demo Team, mentre dal Belgio l’F 16 celebrativo blu siglato FA-110; dalla Repubblica Ceca sono giunti il già citato Gripen ed il Mil Mi 24 nella livrea blu del Tiger Meet, insieme ad un L 139 ed al prototipo dell’L 159.
Le pattuglie acrobatiche presenti erano gli Iskry polacchi, la Patroulle Suisse, i Turkish Stars ed il Breitling Jet Team.
L’AM era presente con un C27J dello Sperimentale, un AMX del 51° Stormo, un C 130J e con le immancabili Frecce Tricolori.
In una rara esibizione pubblica era presente anche uno dei due C 17A ungheresi; ultimo tra gli ungheresi anche l’unico Lisunov LI 2 volante nei colori della MALEV.
Momento clou di entrambe le giornate è stata l’imponente esibizione dell’Aeronautica ungherese, durante la quale una discreta parte dei velivoli in forza ha offerto uno show di tre quarti d’ora. Apriva lo spettacolo la simulazione di un duello aereo, una finta caccia tra due Gripen che inseguivano i “cattivi”, vale a dire due Mig 29, uno dei quali in una bella livrea commemorativa per i 70 anni, che includeva un disegno del Reggiane Re.2000 sul dorso della fusoliera, e grandi giochi di petardi rappresentavano il bombardamento dell’aeroporto. Liberato il cielo dalla minaccia aerea, era il momento degli assaltatori, che scortati da un Gripen, scendevano da un AN 26 dopo un atterraggio tattico e si schieravano a terra dietro ripari, difendendosi dalla ricerca effettuata dai Mi 24. Uno spettacolo bellissimo effettuato con grande dispendio di velivoli e materiali, molto apprezzato da tutti i presenti. Inoltre è stato realizzato per il pubblico un grande parco di attrazioni aeronautiche, con la possibilità di salire su velivoli e visionare la collezione storica dell’Aeronautica ungherese. |

The traditional Hungarian Air Show, held every two years, grows continuously in importance and can now be considered a gem among European air events.
Leit motiv of 2010 edition was seventieth anniversary of Hungarian aviation and the final public display of the Hungarian MIG 29, now on the road of radiation following competition of the Gripen fleet and limitation in manoeuvres after a tragic crash in 2009, when one of the MIG 29 suffered a tail plane separation just in Kecskemét.
The presence of the MIG 29s, with an additional example from Slovakia, as well as the Rumanian MIG 21s, were magnet to a large crowd, measured in about 150.000 units on Saturday and almost twice on Sunday.
Access to the airbase was with a 15 Euro ticket, not discouraging people in this part of Europe, accompanied by a large part of European spotters, enjoying the good date amidst the holiday period.
MIGs weren’t the only focal point: Israeli Air Force presented statically a C 130H and a F 16D; equally static was a SU 27 from Ukraine; Gripens are always present in Kecskemét, with the local examples supplemented by Czeck and Swedish team mates. French star was an excellently piloted Rafale.
Eurofighter 2000 were displayed by Germany and Austria, with the firts present in the static display and the second author of some unexciting passes during a mission from Zeltweg.
Spanish Air Force was Flying Mirage F1 and F18, Serbia their Super Galeb; from the Netherlands there was the traditional presence of the Demo Team F 16, while commemorative Belgian F 16 coded FA-110 was also displaying a nice performance; from the Czeck republic with the afore mentioned Gripen there also were a L 139, the L 159 prototype and the MIL 24 in the blue Tiger Meet livery.
The group of aerobatic teams present includes Polish Iskry team, Patroulle Suisse, Turkish Stars and Breitling Jet Team.
Aeronautica Militare (Italian Air Force) displayed the C 27J of Reparto Sperimentale Volo, an AMX from 51° Stormo, a C 130J and Frecce Tricolori team
In a rare public display was present also one of the two hungarian C 17A; last but not least from Hungaria also flying was the sole Lisunov LI-2 in MALEV colours.
Highlight of the two days was an imposing airpower demonstration by Hungarian Air Force, during which a good part of the operating planes was displayed in a 45 minutes performance; start motive was air duel, in which a fake dogfight was staged by two Gripens, chasing the ‘bad boys’ on two MIG 29, one of whom was displaying a nice commemorative scheme for 70 years of Air Force depicting a Reggiane Re.2000 on the fuselage back; with large fireworks display was enacted the bombing of the airport. After clearing the sky from the air menace, it was the time of the assault force, landing on an AN 26 under the escort of a Gripen; after the tactical landing the assault forces had to defend from strafing Hinds. All in all a very nice display, much loved by the large mass, who was also pampered by the organizers with large recreation areas and the public display of historic aeronautical fleet from Hungaria.
